PROJECT DESCRIPTION.
The improvements to Lakefront park include reconstruction of the existing ball
fields into new park lawns for multi-purpose activities. The intent is to transform Lakefront Park so that it is more conducive to family leisure and alternative sport and recreation uses than for baseball/softball in its current configuration.

OPPORTUNITIES.

• Provides an alternative recreation venue for uses other than sporting events
• Reconfiguration allows the facility to be used for football, soccer and other lawn sports
• Create a buffer between Charles Seivers Blvd. and the park to minimize traffic noise and visual congestion on the park
• Connection to the Riverwalk links to other recreation venues and residential areas
• Create aesthetic improvements to the Marina to integerate it into the design of other waterfront elements
